Why tutoring?

Why tutoring is beneficial for your child

Why you should get a tutor

Why should I pay for tutoring services when my child receives the necessary work from his teachers at school and I already pay school fees? Why should I pay for extra work?

Having a tutor is not the same as having a teacher. A teacher sits with a class of 20 to 40 students, eight classes a day. That tires teachers out and at the end of the day, they have to prep for the next day. Having a tutor can be extremely beneficial to a student. The tutor has more free time during the day to prep for the student’s session. That means that the tutor can include more illustrations and better explanations of the topic for a specific student's requirements.

Another important benefit of having a tutor is the one-on-one time the student receives. Being in a class with 20+ students, they have to fight for the teacher’s attention and help. However, the tutor focuses solely on one student for an hour or two. This ensures that the student's questions are heard and answered.

A tutor is usually younger than the teacher and is not seen as an authority figure. A tutor can be seen as a smart friend, not only there to teach you something but to actually help YOU succeed.

A tutor explains the topic until the student understands and does not rush through the work simply to complete the curriculum.

The student can also contact the tutor at odd times, such as on weekends and at night. The student can ask the tutor to help them with exam prep or ask to cover specific topics that teachers may skim over. Tutors are far more beneficial than people believe.
